4 Week Fall Mindfulness (Philly)

September: 17 + 24  and October: 1 + 8

Meditation is more than sitting in stillness while focusing on the breath. RhythmetriX has designed a science-backed modality of layered rhythmic experiences specifically to foster neurogenesis and increase connectivity between hemispheres in the brain. Drums are simply the tool we use to do it. When the drums are gone, the pathways still exist, and you can integrate your newfound skills into your everyday life. This Four Session Schedule is on the following SUNDAY afternoons:

September: 17 + 24  and October: 1 + 8 

All classes are from 12:30 - 2:00 PM. Classes will be held outside behind the Art Musuem or inside at Amrita Yoga Wellness in Fishtown depending on the weather. 

Week by week, we will slowly develop a series of engagements designed to make your entire brain communicate with itself in ways it typically does not. By engaging the body within the process, and using rhythm and sound to hack particular neural circuitry, all participants will gradually learn how to focus their attention on purpose. NO DRUMMING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY -- we are not making you into practiced drummers, we are cultivating a deeper sense of existing on purpose. 

All participants are required to take a survey before and after so that at the conclusion of all the sessions, you can see your own personal METRIX to discover how much of an improvement you made!
