About the event
We are thrilled to be hosting our fourth overnight psilocybin session, and our first ever indoors! This is a BYO event open only to those 21 years of age or older.
Please continue reading to learn what this event is, how the schedule will look, who is running it, and what our intentions are. There are a few videos to demonstrate activities throughout.
What is the event?
RhythmetriX combines music with movement and mindfulness to rewire the brain and regulate the nerves through unique modalities of group drumming. Typically, we achieve heightened states of cognitive function and overall wellbeing through our signature six-week mindfulness series. However, not everyone has six weeks to wait.
We are currently in the middle of a golden age of psilocybin research. To date, research has demonstrated that microdosing (.02 or less) has no impact beyond that of a placebo, whereas the minimum threshold of a macrodose begins at 2.5 grams. Not everyone looking to gain the benefits of psilocybin is interested in taking such a large dose, and, some people have an aversion to the discomfort associated with such a process.
Throughout the last two years, we’ve been hosting psilocybin sessions to find a perfect middleground, and we believe we’ve achieved that. We’ve identified what we call, “The Flow Zone” which is our optimal dose to combine the power of psilocybin with the power of group drumming, and that dose rests right at 0.6 grams – triple that of a microdose, but one quarter that of a macrodose.
Our data show that the combination of an optimal dose of psilocybin combined with a series of group drumming sessions enable participants to achieve a state of transcendence, and our goal is to link that feeling to the drums so it is easily accessible in the future without the need to continue taking psilocybin. We believe, based on previous results, that deep, impactful psychological work does not always have to be a dark, scary, individual experience. Quite the contrary: our sessions have proven that we can facilitate that work in a fun, playful, supportive group-environment. We look to bring this new modality of expansion to you in the following way:

The Intention and Goal Behind the Event:
As we touched on in the introduction, our goal is to tangibly prove that the interaction between psilocybin and specific rhythmic engagements will 1) induce neuroplasticity, 2) create a sensation of transcendence, 3) create an association between drumming and said transcental states of being, and 4) provide an outlet participants can turn to without the use of any substances to achieve similar, if not the same, results.
In other words: after this event ends, we believe that mood congruent memory will enable you to teleport back into a transcendental state of being simply by engaging in group drumming experiences – no psilocybin necessary.
In the process, our desire is to provide you with rhythmic tools you can immediately utilize and integrate into your daily lives and routines to live a more mindful, present, and grounded existence.
Last but not least, our belief is that deep, impactful psychological work does not always have to be a dark, scary, individual experience. Quite the contrary: our sessions have proven that we can facilitate that work in a fun, playful, supportive group-environment.
*Important Detail: No attendee is permitted to drive home the same evening. Please bring a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, ear plugs, and an eye mask as all participants are required to sleep at the event location for safety purposes. As it says in the opening, this is a BYO event, meaning you must BYO psilocybin -- we will not sell or distribute the substance. All sales are final.
