About the event
Welcome to Rhythmic Mindfulness! The goal of this course is to build executive functioning and emotional regulation skills through rhythmic exercises. This science-backed modality specifically fosters neurogenesis and increases intrahemispheric connectivity in the brain. Drums are simply the tool we use to do it. When the drums are taken away, the pathways will remain, and you can integrate your newfound skills into your everyday life. Take a look at a few videos to see examples of what we'll be engaging in together.

The Six Session Schedule is on Monday evenings:

All classes are from 6:30 - 7:45 PM.
NO DRUMMING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY -- we are not making you into practiced drummers, we are cultivating a deeper sense of awareness and cognitive functioning through drumming activities. The goal here is being able to notice, both inwards and outwards, at a higher and more consistent level -- not to do fancy things on drums (but we can assure you, both will happen!).
