I had the absolute pleasure of attending a RhythmetriX workshop at a wellness festival (Anahata's Purpose). It was AMAZING. The facilitators had so much energy, and inspired everyone to unleash their inner creator...

Although everyone was shy at first, by the end, we were all jamming collectively in harmony. Everyone was expressing themselves openly - it was such a freeing experience.

As a therapist, I can see this being a powerful modality to assist in individuals' healing journeys and to enhance personal expression. Anyone seeking to heal through rhythm and community should try RhythmetriX out.

I can't truly articulate what an incredible, heart healing experience it was to spend 45 minutes or so banging those glorious drums with Max as our instructor. He offered me the opportunity to be brave and to be creative. This will not be my last experience with Rhythmetrix!

The drum circle was amazing, everyone loved having the ability to come out of their shells and Max connected with people so easily that he created a welcoming environment for everyone. I have had a lot of people asking about doing this again and I would like to have Max come back next spring to do this again.

In my first Rhythmetrix workshop with Max, my entire body was buzzing with excitement. I could palpably feel the shedding of years of repressed anxiety and emotional blocks around self-expression. I’ve since begun private 1-on-1 rhythmic coaching with Max, and the transformations have astounded me. Max is so attuned to every movement, every facial expression, every hesitation in my hands. It’s as if he is able to read my mind through my drumming. His psychoanalytic techniques are better than any traditional therapy technique that I’ve tried. He is perceptive, persistent, encouraging, and best of all, he is so much fun!

I met Max from RhythmetriX at the 2022 ACA Tri-State Camp Conference and booked him and his team to come to 7 of our summer camps this summer. We run urban day camps all throughout NYC, and each of our camps is very different. Max was able to create custom workshops for all of our camps and was able to tailor it to each camps unique space and needs. Our kids absolutely loved watching them perform, as well as using a pair of sticks to practice themselves. Highly recommend RhythmertiX and we are already looking forward to working with them again in the future!

Max came out to Mountain Vista Elementary, (Cherry Creek School District) in Aurora, CO. All second graders got to participate in a Mindfulness Drumming Experience. This was conducted in 3 small group sessions lasting 45 minutes each. When researching creative, engaging, and interactive ways to combat depression, anxiety, stress while also increasing mindfulness and whole wellbeing, I came across Rhythmetrix. Mr. Max and Mr. Matt from Rhythmetrix taught us about different instruments from around the world. Students experienced whole body rhythmic movement, while also learning several calming and mindfulness strategies. A few highlights were hearing and feeling the vibrations from an Australian Didgeridoo, dancing to a Japanese Taiko Drum, and calm breathing to the beats of an Ivory Coast Djembe Drum and Tongue Drum. Students interacted and participated throughout the performance, all while building focus, confidence, and positive social relationships. In addition, all students had a chance to drum together use drumsticks and Boom Whackers. I highly recommend Max with Rhythmetrix!

I met Max and the team at a community event in September. After participating in a mini workshop I knew I needed to get him to my school ASAP.

I am a preschool teacher and NEVER in my 11 years in the field have I seen EVERY SINGLE child stay not just focused, but captivated for an entire hour…that is until they met Max. He brought immeasurable joy to my students and teachers as well. It has been two months since he came and I still have children asking “is today is a drum day?”

It’s so wonderful seeing the kids cooperate, interact, and have a great time while they learn rhythm and coordination. It really seems to regulate them and you can see it happen it real time. Grateful that there’s a program like this that keeps them engaged and present without relying on screens.

At my last experience with Rhythmetrix I was transported by the authentic soulful pulse of the drum. The powerful free flowing textural rhythms and deep ancestral sounds of the beat were a guiding light, a bop, a flow. The range of musicianship, professionalism and artistry are inspiring and the cascading improvisational grooves call the spirit in and open the imagination.

Rhythmetrix delivered an absolutely unforgettable performance at my mother's 50th birthday celebration. I drummed with Max and Rhythymetrix twice while on vacation in Denver and will definitely look them up for another session when I go back. Max is patient, encouraging, light-hearted, intellectual (he’s got the scientific background my people), directive, and experienced. I came to the first session with absolutely no experience holding a drumstick (aside from the greasy kind 🍗; Ba-dum-ching! ) and couldn’t wait to pick one up again. 🥁

The sessions put me in a deeply calm, yet invigorated and playful state.

We had the Rhythmetrix team at our summer camp for siblings in the foster system. It was by far the most dynamic and most loved program by campers and councilors alike.

The campers were so taken with the interactions of the instruments, if not for the drumbeats, you could hear a pin drop!
