About the event
We are pleased to welcome you back to our new and improved multi-day psilocybin retreat. This event is for adults 24+ who have experienced psilocybin at least twice on their own. Capacity is limited.
Please continue reading to learn what this event is, how the schedule will look, who is running it, and what our intentions are. There are a few videos to demonstrate activities throughout. We encourage you read this entire page before you purchase tickets.
What is the event?
RhythmetriX combines music with movement and mindfulness to rewire the brain and regulate the nerves through unique modalities of group drumming.
Throughout the last three years, we’ve been hosting psilocybin sessions to find a perfect middle-ground of plant and music as medicine, and we believe we’ve achieved that. We’ve identified what we call, “The Flow Zone” which is our optimal dose to combine the power of psilocybin with group drumming, and that dose rests between 0.6 and 1.2 grams – doses vary on each individual, their experience, tolerance, and metabolism.
Our intention is to build a cohesive group over the course of two evenings. The first evening, Friday, will feature and introductory opening circle, and then two short sober drumming sessions. Here, RhythmetriX facilitators will help show people how to comfortably be part of a drum circle that listens, connects, plays, and evolves with itself. We will close by going over the next day's schedule.
Saturday will be the day we imbibe and take part in ceremony. Sunday, we have one morning drumming session, then closing circle and integration discussion. The event will conclude at 11 AM. Below, find a more detailed schedule.

The Staff
Max Young is the founder of RhythmetriX. Max has a psychology degree with a focus on behavioral neuroscience, 15 years of experience with psychedelics, and 2 years of experience facilitating group psychedelic activations.
Pierre Bouchard is a clinical psychologist who regularly holds space for psychedelic journeys. With years of experience with psilocybin and MDMA, Pierre is the leader of our Safety Squad who will be on call to assure everyone's wellbeing is looked after. Pierre will help us set the agenda for integration in the closing circle on Sunday.
Chrissy Dinardo is a breathwork coach who has held space for countless psychedelic journeys. As a fellow member of the Safety Squad, Chrissy will be the first line of inquiry and comfort for those who have a weird moment and need a safe, soft individual to ground them.
Madison Asher is a RhythmetriX staffer, a certified life coach, and our Master of Ceremonies. Madison will set the intentions, establish the agreements, and build the container needed for the group to enjoy a safe environment and respectful space.
Special Soundbath Musician: per their request, we will keep this person a secret. Let's just say they've been hosting epic sound journeys for over ten years, both in sober and psychedelic spaces, and will be a key part of the experience to help facilitate the come up and come down.
The Intention and Goal Behind the Event:
As we touched on in the introduction, our goal is to tangibly prove that the interaction between psilocybin and specific rhythmic engagements will 1) induce neuroplasticity, 2) elicit a sensation of transcendence, 3) create an association between drumming and said transcendental states of being, and 4) provide an outlet participants can turn to without the use of any substances to achieve similar, if not the same, results in the future.
In other words: after this event ends, we believe that mood congruent memory will enable you to teleport back into a transcendental state of being simply by engaging in group drumming experiences – no psilocybin necessary.
In the process, our desire is to provide you with rhythmic tools you can immediately utilize and integrate into your daily lives and routines to live a more mindful, present, and grounded existence.
Last but not least, our belief is that deep, impactful psychological work does not always have to be a dark, scary, individual experience. Quite the contrary: our sessions have proven that we can facilitate that work in a fun, playful, supportive group-environment.
*Important Detail: No attendee is permitted to drive Saturday evening. While we strongly encourage participants to spend the night Saturday, you can either get a ride home from a sober driver or use a rideshare (Uber) if need be.
Those choosing to sleep over, please bring a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, ear plugs, and an eye mask as all participants are required to sleep at the event location for safety purposes. After you purchase your ticket, we will reach out to you and ask you a few questions to make sure you understand the nature of this event and that we are comfortable bringing you into this group. In the rare exception there is a problem, you will be refunded.
DISCLOSURE: Please make sure you are not participating if you are on certain anti-depressant medication, have manic bipolar disorder, or if you are on any other medications that may impact your health. If you have questions, please speak to your doctor before you purchase a ticket.
